Could not subscribe, try again laterInvalid Email A major project to open up job opportunities by improving access, parking and public transport at Eurocentral has been approved by the Glasgow City Regional City Deal Cabinet. The outline business case for the proposed coach purse website Holytown Link Road and Eurocentral Park, Ride and projects was approved and an additional of City Deal funding released to support the development of the projects. This project is part of a wider programme of support to improve access and connectivity in the A8/M8 corridor area between Baillieston and Newhouse. Eurocentral is one of Scotland's main commercial sites and is key to attracting more business to North Lanarkshire. The site has capacity for significant expansion in the future however an additional access road would be required to support the increased traffic that would result from more businesses locating at Eurocentral or the Maxim Business Park. "The investment will help attract new businesses to Eurocentral and Maxim Business Park, creating an estimated 400 new jobs," said Councillor Allan Graham, convener of the Enterprise and Housing Committee. "The project will also assist in supporting improved bus services to open up job opportunities to coach outlet purses tory more residents in the surrounding areas. "For local people, the link road will allow them to access local, sustainable job opportunities as well as taking heavy traffic away from Holytown Main Street and nearby residential areas. As a significant part of the Eurocentral site is still to be developed, the road will also safeguard against increases in traffic generated by future growth." A planning application for the project will now be submitted. This work is part of the wider million A8/M8 Corridor Access Improvements project being developed by the council through Glasgow City Region City Deal.
