Allan Ellwood Vanclief VANCLIEF, Allan Ellwood (June 14th, 1940 December 17th, 2014) Passed away on Wednesday December 17th, 2014 at the Kingston General Hospital in the loving presence of his high school sweetheart, and wife of nearly 55 years, Fran (Frances, nee Tucker) and his three adoring children Gregory, Jennifer and Leslie.
A lifelong resident of the Bay of Quinte Area, Allan was born on June 14th, 1940, raised in Ameliasburg, and was the son of the late Jean and Clarence Vanclief. Throughout coach outlet stores dolphin mall his life, Allan was known for his attention to detail, his love of heritage, and his larger than life presence. An established local businessman and community leader, in his early career Allan was the owner and proprietor of the Grant Funeral Home. He later carved out his second business as a highly regarded master carpenter and craftsman. Allan is survived by his wife and children and their spouses; Fran, Greg and Amy, Jennifer and Marcelo, Leslie and Jim, his brother, the Honourable Lyle Vanclief and wife Sharon, three adoring grandchildren; Jasmine LaPalme, Benjamin Watson, Arwen Vanclief, and multiple generations of Vanclief and Tucker cousins, nieces, and nephews. In keeping with Allan's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private inurnment will be held at the Belleville Cemetery Niche Wall at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cardiac Care Unit of the Kingston General Hospital, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, or to the charity of choice, would be appreciated. It is a hard time of year to lose someone so dear to your heart. I remember Al as always being friendly and a joy to be around. so sorry.
