8 Week Old Kitten I got a new kitten yesterday Mia, shes brilliant in every way, shes settled straight in, shes not really crying or anything, only a little at 1st but shes ok now, Slept all through the night with no problems, shes using her litter tray, shes drinking a little kitten milk but she wont eat any form of food.
I know its only been 24hours but im just concerned that she wont eat, shes got meat and biscuits seperate but shes just not interested at all. The milk helps to soften the biscuits and meat and make it easier for them to coach outlet locations north carolina eat. I gave them food like this for a good few months before eventually weaning them off having the milk mixed in. You could try them with a bit of that. At 8 weeks they'll only eat a very small amount at a time. I hope that you realise though that we are going to need pics of Mia? it is law in the group :DThe breeder should have explained the kits diet, naughty breeder! Cats and kittens shouldn't be fed cows milk as the can't digest it. Having said that we did occasionally let our cats have milk. When we had a kitten that wouldn't eat our vet said to give them some cat food with a strong odour as they don't eat as well if they can't smell it. Would tuna fit that description? Hope you get it to eat something soon. Please keep us posted. If necessary allow her to go backwards in her food stages to enable her to eat something. Something comforting like some smooth textured kitten food which you mash up with a fork and mix in some hot water, so it ends up just some warm mush that she can lap up without having to chew should do the trick, as should a few little bits of warm roast chicken as suggested by Moonbird. Kittens at this age should be eating about a teaspoon full of food approximately 6 times a day, so you need to put out just a little bit too much for her 3 or 4 times a day to allow her to return to the food bowl when she gets peckish. e is now on kitten food with a bit of kitten milk as a treat and water plus biscuits he a right little fatty now. She will get there just persevere and maybe try the coach outlet sale 78 one on one bottle feeding inbetween trying her to get to eat food etc. I tried my kitten on tuna sandwich paste it worked a treat when he wouldnt eat and now he tries to eat my dogs tripe lol and he just moves and lets the kittens have it ha haSmall kittens can't sheath their claws anyway, so that's not really a worry to me. It will probably improve in few weeks as she gets older. The photos were to see things like the colour of her eyes and her proportions, which are part of ageing her properly. Size is much less important with age to be honest. From the photos I'd say that she probably is properly weaned but may not be 8 weeks, but she's obviously a scared little girl so give her loads of reassurance and coach outlet sale quartz get to a decent pet shop and buy some Royal Canin Babycat biscuits, which are biscuits specifically for kittens under 16 weeks.
They're teeny biscuits specially for tiny mouths coach outlet stores gilroy ca and tiny tummies, and they're really high in nutrients, so they're easy for little kits to eat. When i got her on Sunday i didnt think she was 8weeks, shes alot smaller than my other kitten, she doesnt really pine for her mum which is good, she cries sometimes when shes in a room alone but apart from that shes bouncing all over, playing with everything in sight and always wanting cuddles and stuff. Its just the eating im worried about majorly! She must be hungry surely? Her waist is tiny im worried shes undereating, i might be fretting to much and she did eat a little last night, hopefully this will gradually get better.
