Any ex Firth Park School lads n lassies out there Finished in 5H, History teacher Miss?, remember classmates "Nobby" Newsome, Clive Pick, John Grey, one called Wrigglesworth and maybe a coach outlet site Brian Smith. Oh By the way, I was there in the 70's left in 1975. I've now got a headache trying to remeber all those people, but it was worth it just to take a stroll down 'Memory Lane'. (A bit of a cliche, but what the hell!!!). all the other names are familiar, some i remember as 'mates' out of school too. putting faces to names is getting more difficult though, praps would be good to see some photos. i came from hatfield house lane when the two schools merged, because i lived about 100 yards away barnsley road houses behind the hedges. in the gym then me and a few others would get the keys to the pavillions in the park remember those? but we'd go to my house instead just down the road. never got caught just cant remember who i went with. hey tara i'm dead curious to know who you are you can obviously remember me, would you mind if i messaged you?i'm one of those names on tara'a list. all the other names are familiar, some i remember as 'mates' out of school too. putting faces to names is getting more difficult though, praps would be good to see some photos. i came from hatfield house lane when the two schools merged, because i lived about 100 yards away barnsley road houses behind the hedges. in the gym then me and a few others would get the keys to the pavillions in the park remember those? but coach outlet great mall we'd go to my house instead just down the road. never got caught just cant remember who i went with. hey tara i'm dead curious to know who you are you can obviously remember me, would you mind if i messaged you? Not at all feel free, ive narrowed you down to one of three people. Were you in Mrs Carr's form. i went to that school in the early to mid eighties, and so did my brother Dave. what was thet french teachers name, and that female head we had for a while she was scarey!:) I think you're refering to "Sam" Mr Jones (french teacher) and was the deputy head mistress Mrs Meehan (not sure how her surname was spelled) but she was famous for wearing orange lipstick which didn't suit her and Mr Dougie Jennings with his pronunciation of vey ickles always caused a few titters when he said it, was the other deputy head at that time. I left in 1975, loved every minute of my time there, cried when I left, but these 3 teachers were still going strong then. I am 50 and back there doing computer courses. My son, who is now 31 also went there. So the story goes that he had his toes on one foot blown off in the war and after that had to have special coach gloves outlet shoes made with weights to help him balance. After suffering 2 years of blinding science from Mr Renshaw he gave me one to one tuition, took me through, and helped me to pass my O level physics. we also used to go to the bakers, buy an uncut loaf, dig out the bread from the middle, then have the loaf filled up with chips at the chippy. Ah, happy memories. I left in 1975 and (I and several others) used to cross the playing field to get (at lunchtime) 5 Parkdrive ciggies and half an uncut loaf from the little shop on Hadfield House Lane, eat and hollow it out whilst going to Lidsters chipshop, across the other side of the junction on Bellhouse Road to have it filled with chips and scraps a feast from heaven! Its great to see so many people talking about sharing their stories from school.

I'm sure most of you, including myself, enjoyed the time we spent there. Oh By the way, I was there in the 70's left in 1975. To give you a clue as to whom I spent my school years with, here are some of the pupils that were there at the same time as me.
